In the fall of 2003, an idea was formed in
response to a need for a capital project, to raise funds for a
permanent/larger place of worship and additional space at St.
Francis of Assisi. The rapid growth of the parish was directly
impacting its facilities ability to effectively minister to the
parishioners & various ministries ...seating for Mass and
organizational meetings were pushing maximum capacity.
However, a percentage of the meetings being held at the parish,
were from organizations in the Frisco community at large
...such as:
• Frisco Soccer Association
• Boy Scouts
• Girl Scouts
• Cub Scouts
• M.O.M.S. organization
• FISD – Frisco Education Foundation Awards Night
• Frisco Early Childhood PTA
• Frisco Quilt Guild
So the solution had to include the ability
for the Frisco community to assist and/or participate in.
